  • Panthenol or Dexpanthenol

Panthenol and Dexpanthenol are two names commonly used for the same ingredient. Panthenol converts into Pantothenic Acid (a B Complex Vitamin) in the skin and enhances skin regeneration and repair. When applied regularly, it has been proven to considerably improve symptoms of skin irritation such as dryness, roughness, scaling and redness.

Panthenol/Dexpanthenol is also an effective moisturizer. It improves hydration in the outermost layers of the skin and helps to reduce transepidermal water loss.

  • Glycerol

Glycerol, also called glycerine, is colourless, odourless and non-toxic. It is a humectant, which means it helps attract water thereby trapping it in the skin. This makes it a very effective moisturiser, as it both smoothes dry skin and gives it long-lasting protection and care.

FAQ

Why do I need a special lip care product?

Our lips are commonly exposed to the causes of dry skin, such as cold weather, constant wetting and drying, and sunshine. Lip skin is also extremely thin, and cannot produce the natural protective layer the rest of your skin produces to protect itself from drying out. This combination of factors makes your lips highly vulnerable to becoming very dry, cracked, irritated or even infected. Learn more about skin on your lips.

Is Eucerin Acute Lip Balm safe for children?

Yes, it can be used on children over the age of three.
